Our environmental commitment
Each purchase of an Ebb Tide Toys plush keeps plastic out of the ocean. Our toys are made from recycled plastic bottles which are cleaned, shredded, and then turned into polyester stuffing, which is used to make your favorite nudibranch buddy. A portion of proceeds from each purchase is donated to leading ocean conservation organizations.
About Nudibranchs
Nudibranch (pronounced new-de-brawnk) is the scientific name for a specific group of sea slugs. The word nudibranch means “naked gills” because they breathe through gills that look like rosette-shaped plumes or spikes on their backs. More than 3,000 species of nudibranchs are found in oceans all over the world. They are known for their kaleidoscopic colors. Each species varies wildly: there are nudibranchs that smell like watermelon and nudibranchs that glow in the dark.
